Overview
During warehouse operations, in particular when picking goods, discrepancies between the actual stock level of goods and system data are found. To maintain the actual stock level, it is necessary to register adjustment notes in the system. The flow of the process depends on the nature of the discrepancy detected.
The most common case is a decreasing stock for shortage quantity. In this case, you must indicate the storage location, goods items.
A stock surplus case requires increasing stock, as well as indication of the storage location and items of such goods.
In case of misgrading, the reclassification of one item with another is required, without changing its quantity or storage location.
Damages of the goods are recognized as reclassification of goods with another quality item. Minor changes in consumer properties, as a rule, do not require further action. But significant changes in quality may require moving to a control storage location, blocking bins, and other measures, depending on the warehouse policy of the enterprise.
As a result of this process, stock levels are adjusted to actual levels.
