Overview

The process focuses on regular generation of planned R&M.

For a preventive maintenance scenario, create a repair and maintenance order on scheduled activities that are required with specific predefined conditions. These conditions can include specific parameters that are checked regularly and measured by usage meters (discrete counter or runtime) or by time meters, after which maintenance work is needed.

Maintenance schemes contain a clear definition of the tasks to be completed, roles and responsibilities, and dates. Maintenance schemes are provided by asset producers or prepared by the internal maintenance team.

As a result of the process, planned repair and maintenance orders are created.

How to generate R&M orders based on maintenance schemes

1. Go to Assets management and then click Create planned R&M orders under Repair and maintenance.

2. Select a Maintenance scheme, a Maintenance scheme option, an Operating business unit, and an RM business unit.

3. Click Custom filters to enable more filters.

4. Set additional filters to view specific demand data. A simplified set of filters is the default view of the workplace.

5. Select an RM type in the RM work filter.

6. Select the Period of regular maintenance.

7. Click Next.

On Step 2, the system will automatically:

  • Show maintenance demand for assets and sub-assets according to the Maintenance scheme settings.
  • Fill the Start date, Duration of the maintenance work, and the Business unit responsible for the work fulfillment.
  • Fill the conditional ID number of R&M orders to create.
  • Select R&M orders to create.

8. Select a line of R&M type and review the list of phantom R&M orders in the right window.

9. Select a line of R&M type, click the Show R&M request details hyperlink, and review standard resources and labor works in the window below.

10. Select the check boxes and click Next.

On Step 3, the system will automatically:

  • Create R&M orders.
  • Fill data from Maintenance schemes.
  • Try to post the document and set the Created status if there is enough information to post without errors.
  • Otherwise, save the R&M order as a draft for further filling and posting.
