Overview
The process manages last-minute control procedures of the material availability for production purposes.
The changes happened in the actual stock also take place in the account because they can interrupt the actual scheduled production. For example, it can be an undelivered material, postponed delivery, missing materials in stock, material breakdown, and other.
During the process, aligning the desired delivery dates with the start date of the production schedule can reduce the occurrence of premature delivery of materials that will begin much later.
As a result of the process, the availability of the required materials is checked, the availability is confirmed, and a missing material list is checked.

How to align required supply dates with production schedules
1. Go to Manufacturing and click Production order queue management under Production scheduling and controlling.
2. Select scheduled orders and click Actions and then Move requested supply dates.
3. Review material items whose current required date is earlier than the start date of the production schedule.
4. Start the aligning procedure by clicking the Move shipment dates.
5. The system will automatically copy the start date of the schedule as the required dates for the materials whose current required date is earlier than the start date of the schedule.
Note
When you move required supply dates to later dates in stages that are planned much later due to restrictions not related to the supply of materials (for example, lack of capacity, end date of the stages-predecessors), such stages cannot subsequently be rescheduled to earlier dates than these required supply dates.
6. Perform this step manually. Click the Supply tab, drill down the stages, and change the required dates.
