Overview

The process manages situations when the goods are not actually available at the date close to the delivery to the customer. It may happen in cases of unplanned change in the supply schedule, damaging in warehouse, and other.

By reviewing reserved goods, you figure out if the necessary quantity of goods could be released as available in stock and be reserved later from future supply. The backorder process deals with sales, production, R&M, and transfer orders that are currently holding these goods reserved.

The shortage situation is followed by alignment and adjustment of reservation and reallocation of goods quantities.

Order managers, warehouse stockkeepers, and other interested parties must be involved in the process and kept informed.
