Overview

When you process a sales order, you need to check if the order can be fulfilled. You also need to specify a location for goods delivery.

This process is applicable for simple production or kitting manufacturing scenarios. 

Within this prosess, you need to estimate available components to check whether the required quantity of components is available for kitting and sales to customers on the requested date.

As a result of the process, the availability of components is assessed.

How to create simulated production/kitting orders

1. Go to Sales and then click Sales orders under Sales management.

2. Select a line, click Generate, and then click Production order.

3. Fill the Production order document. For more information, see Generate demand-driven production orders.

How to check component availability

1. Follow the instructions in Control material availability for production.

2. Review and save the information about the current component availability.

1. Go to Manufacturing and then click Production order queue management under Production scheduling and controlling.

2. Select an order, click Actions, and then click Mark production stages for deletion.
