Overview
Here you will learn how to calculate sales planning figures and record them in the system.
You can fill budgets with documents separated by business units, companies, and other dimensions.
The budget structure is determined by the budget profile and is the same for everyone who fills the budget.
Document statuses allow you to manage their creation, submission and approval.
As a result of the process, sales planning figures are captured and submitted.

How to find and review budget tasks
1. Go to Budgeting and planning and click My budget tasks under Budget process. 2. Find the Budget task related to the budgeting process step and open it. 3. In the Budget task document, click the Additional information tab. 4. Review the time requirements in the Due date field. 5. Review the task details in the Instructions field and make sure you understand them. 6. Review the start date and time in the Start field. 7. Review the Main task and Process stage - base document fields. 8. Click the hyperlink in the middle of the form and review the input settings. 9. Click the Task action tab. 10. Click Enter plan to drill down to the entry form to fill in or the reference document. Note Hyperlinks in steps 8 and 10 appear if Plan entry is selected in the Action field.

How to create sales budget by business unit
1. Go to Budgeting and planning and click Budget entry forms under Budgets.
2. Click Create.
3. In the Budget entry form document, go to the Main tab.
4. Specify the Budgeting model.
5. Select the Budgeting profile relevant to the specific budget.
6. Select the applicable Scenario.
7. Select the Company and Business unit (= cost center for expenses) if required.
8. Specify the budgeting Period.
9. Go to the Budget tab.
Fill in a budget from plans
Click Fill.
The system will automatically fill the tab with plan data.
Fill in a budget manually
1. Review the list of Budget items defined for the budget.
2. Click the Add line icon and select the dimension item (if applicable).
3. Fill the budget figures by dimension items.
4. Leave useful notes in the Comment field.
5. Set the Submitted status and Post the document.
How to complete budget tasks
1. Go to Budgeting and planning and click My budget tasks under Budget process. 2. Find the Budget task related to the process step and open it. 3. Enter the date of completion in the Completed field. 4. Click Complete and close.
