Overview
Once a return request has been accepted, the customer will often request that the returned item be exchanged for another item.
Firstly, the exchange option must be activated in the goods return request.
The process also involves determining the substitute goods and quantity.
As a result of the process, the substitute goods are defined in the goods return request.

How to activate goods exchange transaction
1. Go to Sales, then click Goods return requests under Sales management.
2. Find and open the Sales return request document in the Pending approval status.
3. In the Sales return request document, select the Compensation → Exchange goods option.
How to fill substitute items and quantity
1. In the Sales return request document, click the Exchange goods tab, click Fill → Pick goods.
2. In the Pick goods workplace, click More actions → Settings and choose Request quantity to enable entering the required quantity at the time of item selection.
3. Select the Filter by kinds and attributes check box to enable a quick filter.
4. Select the relevant item kind and review item list.
5. Select an Item, select an Item variant.
6. Specify the Quantity and UOM in an opened dialog and then click OK.
7. Click a hyperlink at the bottom of the form and review the list of the selected items.
8. Click Add to document to transfer data of the items selected to the order.
9. Select all lines, click the Supply → To supply action.
10. Set the Pending approval status and post the document.
