Overview
Oftentimes, the customer requires the return of goods for various reasons.
When creating a sales return request, the customer provides necessary information to identify customer, legal entity, sale transaction. Then customer selects the available compensation option, and payment terms. All financial and logistic conditions depend on the case and the company's return policy.
The process follows determining the exact items and quantity for returning, and referencing them to the invoice registered in the system.
Finally, the expected date of goods return to warehouse is agreed with the customer.
As a result of the process, a return request from the customer is created.

How to create sales return requests
1. Go to Sales, then click Goods return requests under Sales management, click Create.
2. In the Sales return request document, click the Main tab, select the Customer, select the Counterparty, select the Company, select the Warehouse, select the Terms of sales.
3. Select the Compensation → Refund immediately, or Refund with credit option.
Note
The Exchange goods option initiates an issue of a similar good.
4. Click the More tab, fill the Employee, the Business unit, the Contact person.
5. Select the refund Currency.
Note
The currency can be filled automatically with the value mentioned in the Terms of sales. This is the currency of AR/AP accounting and price nomination. This currency can differ from the invoice currency.
6. Define the Taxation → Return is subject to VAT.
7. Specify the Requested delivery date.
How to link sales return request to invoices
1. In the Sales return request document, click the Goods pending return tab.
2. Click Fill → Add items from sales documents.
3. In the Pick goods against sales documents form, select lines with the goods to be returned, and click Add to document.
4. Check all data copied from the invoice. Review the Sales document column, and find the invoice references.
How to specify goods return date
1. In the Sales return request document, click the Goods pending return tab.
2. Select the Single day receipt check box, fill the date.
3. Set the Pending approval status, and Post the document.
