E2E Business Scenario

Overview
A2R Acquisition of assets

The scenario includes the processes of assets acquisition. The standard purchasing process is applied to assets acquisition - receiving assets as goods to the warehouse and then reclassification to capital expenditure and fixed assets.

The value of the asset acquired is capitalized to the respective asset item (ready to use) or construction object (as part of a bigger asset). The asset purchased must be finally recognized as a fixed asset that starts the periodic depreciation of the asset value.

A2R CAPEX project management

The CAPEX project management scenario covers processes of managing capital investments in assets acquisition, overhaul and capital improvement of equipment, construction of new assets.

The key element for this scenario is a construction object that can be organized in the project structure. The construction object provides capabilities to capitalize, control, and follow-up relevant expenses in an adequate way.

The project activities, such as project planning, execution management, are performed out of this scenario and appear as sources of information for the system.

The closing of the construction object as well as closing of the whole CAPEX project is performed as a result of the process.

A2R Fixed assets management

The scenario covers standard processes related to management of non-current assets, including purchases, subsequent capital expenditures, and disposal from financial accounting.

Cluster: Asset maintenance

E2E Business Scenario

Overview
A2R Corrective asset maintenance

The corrective asset maintenance scenario defines how equipment is maintained when a defect is detected and registered, and focuses on getting the equipment to the working state in accordance with production requirements.

The corrective asset maintenance scenario is initiated when a corrective maintenance request is created. This maintenance request is evaluated and a decision is made whether to create a repair and maintenance order.

The following corrective asset maintenance options are available:

  • Deferred maintenance followed by creating a repair and maintenance order. In this option, the maintenance is performed within the repair and maintenance order fulfillment.
  • Immediate maintenance that is performed without creating a repair and maintenance order. The maintenance is performed immediately when the defect is detected.

A2R Preventive asset maintenance

The preventive asset maintenance scenario defines the process flow of regular technical inspection of equipment, detection of incipient defects before they occur, fixing these defects to keep the equipment in satisfactory working condition.

The preventive asset maintenance scenario is initiated once a repair and maintenance order is created in accordance with the equipment maintenance schedule.

Comparing to corrective asset maintenance, the preventive asset maintenance focuses on scheduling maintenance work and optimizing maintenance workloads.

The preventive asset maintenance planning allows companies to eliminate downtime of production equipment as well as ensure the availability of necessary resources for maintenance works.

A2R Asset decommissioning

The asset decommissioning scenario defines the process flow for asset decommissioning, extraction, sale or storage of useful materials and components, waste disposal.

As part of the decommissioning scenario, carefully assess the asset and its components and make a decision on how to sell, reuse, or dispose of the asset.
