Overview

You need to fill in sales forecasts for specific business units manually within the external demand planning scenario. This also includes importing data from the spreadsheet.

The analytics set which comes from scenario settings will guide you through this process. Besides product categories, the analytics set also includes a warehouse, store format, and assignment.

You need to review all the assumptions specific to the scenario. It will help you to make root cause analysis within the review process.

The expected sales figures (e.g. expected delivery dates) must be specified in the sales forecast document which is based on the available external information such as market intelligence, data sources, insights, specific customer information, and expertise.

The comments to each figure of the forecast must contain the sources of information, the assumptions considered, and the adjustments made. This will help you to make root cause analysis in the future.

As a result of the process, sales forecasts for specific business units are filled in and submitted to demand planning.
