Overview

Sales forecasts for special terms of sales are filled manually within the sales contract management scenario. The process also includes data import from a spreadsheet.

The analytics set which comes from scenario settings will guide you through this process. The analytics set also includes a warehouse, a store format, and an assignment.

Once the process is complete, the sales forecast for special terms of sales will be created and confirmed.

How to fill sales forecast entry forms manually

Fill the header

1. Go to Budgeting and planning and then click Sales forecasts by items under Sales and operations plans.

2. Open the Sales forecast by items document and click the Main tab.

3. Fill the Scenario and the Plan profile specially set up to maintain the contracted values.

4. Specify the Period of the contract.

5. Select the Customer and special Terms of sales.

6. Select the Warehouse or Store format, if required.

7. Click the Goods tab.

8. Click More actions → Periods and select the option if the time buckets expand in lines or columns.

9. Select the Periods in column view.

Note

In the Periods in lines view, you can set the exact date of shipment for each line.

Fill lines manually

1. Add a new line and select the Item and its Variant.

2. Specify the sales Quantity and Price by the required time periods.

3. Pay attention to the time buckets applied.

Import lines from the spreadsheet

1. Click the Import from external file icon.

2. In the import from external file form, paste data copied from the spreadsheet.

3. Click Next. The system will automatically parse all the data pasted and fill in the form with the system master data.

4. Review and amend the information and click Move and close.

The system will automatically fill in the form.

Finalization

1. Select the cell and specify notes in the Comment field, if required.

2. Repeat these steps for other items.

3. The system checks for completely blank lines before you post the document. Click More actions → Delete empty lines to delete all blank lines.

4. Set the Created status and post the document.

How to confirm sales forecasts

1. Go to Budgeting and planning and click Planning process management under Tools.

2. Choose the Scenario and specify the planning Period.

3. Find the Plan profile related to the process.

4. Double-click the relevant flowchart area, select the plan document, and click Set status → Confirmed.

The system will automatically set the Confirmed status for the document.
