Overview

When a customer requests to perform a service for purchasing materials or services, the company creates a sales order. The company that provides such services is an agent.

This scenario applies to cases of multifaceted organization of purchasing, regulated business (require special certificates), goods with limited vendors, and utilizing existing contracts with vendors.

Specify the items, quantities, a resale price, and a desired receipt date in the sales order.

Under this scheme, a separate (individual or assigned) supply of goods (services) is mandatory. In the sales order, a separate supply option is automatically set for all items.

As a result of this process, a sales order for purchasing services is created.

How to create sales orders for purchasing services

1. Go to Sales and then click Sales orders under Sales management.

2. Click Create.

How to fill header data

Main headers

1. In the Sales order document, click the Main tab.

2. Select Procurement outsourcing in the Transaction field.

3. Select a Customer, a Counterparty, a Company, and a Warehouse.

4. Select the Terms of sales and a Contract.

More headers

1. Click the More tab.

2. Fill the Employee and Business unit. These fields can be filled automatically with the data of the user who creates the order.

3. Specify the Contact person of the Partner.

4. Select the Currency of the order. The currency is filled automatically with the value mentioned in the Terms of purchase/Terms of sales.

Note

 This is the currency of AR/AP accounting and price nomination. This currency can differ from the invoice currency.

5. Define the order Taxation if it is subject to VAT, or if it is an export transaction.

6. Specify the reference Order number and Date according to the counterparty's information system.

How to fill line item data

1. Click the Goods tab.

2. Click Fill - Pick goods.

3. In the Pick goods in sales order workplace, click More actionsSettings and choose the Request quantity option to enable entering the required quantity at the moment of item selection.

4. Select the Filter by kinds and attributes checkbox to enable a quick filter.

5. Select the item kind relevant to the goods requested for procurement.

6. Find and double-click the Item and choose an Item variant if applicable.

7. Specify a Quantity and a UOM in the opened dialog box and click OK.

8. Click the hyperlink at the bottom of the form and review the list of selected items.

9. Click Add to document to transfer data of items selected to the document.

10. Set the To supply action for all lines.

11. Check that all lines are selected in the Separately column.

12. Fill prices for all lines.

How to save the document

1. Set the Pending approval status.

2. Post the document.
