Overview
After you find gaps between the planned and required production capacities, you need to consider feasible and effective measures to resolve them.
All the measures you take are recorded in the system.

How to find and review budget tasks
1. Go to Budgeting and planning and then click My budget tasks under Budget process.
2. Find a Budget task related to the budgeting process step and open it.
3. In the Budget task document, click the Additional information tab.
4. In the Due date field, review the time requirements.
5. In the Instructions field, review the task details and make sure you understand them.
6. In the Start field, review the start date and time.
7. Review the Main task and Process stage - base document fields.
8. Click the hyperlink in the middle of the form and review the input settings.
9. Click the Task action tab.
10. Click Enter plan to drill down to the entry form to fill or the reference document.

Change technologies
1. Go to Budgeting and planning and then click Production plans under Sales and operations plans.
2. Select and open a document.
3. Go to the Manufactured products tab.
4. Review the BOMs applied to the products.
5. Review other BOMs that can be applied to the products.
6. Assess how changing technologies can affect the fulfillment of production plans.
7. Decide which BOMs you will apply to items to balance the required and available capacities.
Update production capacity
1. Change work centers/work center types.
2. Fill the availability of the work centers/work center types for the planning horizon.

How to make decisions about changing production plans
1. Go to Budgeting and planning, click Budgeting and planning reports, and select the Planned demand for work center types report under Sales and operations plans.
2. Specify a Scenario and a period.
3. In the filters, select the most overloaded work center types.
4. Go to Settings → Structure and select the Items of goods, Item variant, Items of goods.Stock UOM check box.
5. Click Generate.
6. Find the most time-consuming products related to the overloaded work center types.
7. Go to the Production plan document and then click the Manufactured products tab.
8. Review the product quantity required by the demand.
9. Decide how many products you will exclude from the production plan to balance the required and available capacities.
10. Select a cell and, in the Comment field, specify your final decisions on/reasons for the production plan changes.
How to complete budget tasks
1. Go to Budgeting and planning and click My budget tasks under Budget process.
2. Find a Budget task related to the process step and open it.
3. In the Completed field, enter the completion date.
4. Click Complete and close.
